About our mission

Helping families support loved ones in aging at home safely

Independence should stay with the person — not get sacrificed for safety. We build AI-powered, privacy-first monitoring so older adults can stay home longer and families can check in without always being on.

Family at home together

Our story & how we build

Our story

SafetySense started with a real fall — and a real scare. One of our founders watched a family member fall at home and go unnoticed for hours. Wearables weren’t being worn. Cameras that streamed to the cloud weren’t acceptable.

So we set out to build something private, local, and actually useful for families.

How we build

We listen to caregivers and families first, then design around real rooms — hallways, kitchens, bedrooms — to reduce false alarms while making sure real falls aren’t missed.

What we stand for

Privacy first

Video is processed locally — you decide when remote access is allowed.

Accuracy when it counts

AI tuned for fall scenarios, so alerts are useful and not ignored.

Human support

From install to daily use, we help families get to “this just works.”

Use the dedicated placement guide for room examples, privacy notes, lighting, and blind-zone checks.

Do I need a GPU?

Most home users should test with an existing Windows computer first. GPU-based systems are mainly for larger camera counts or facility deployments.
